Excitement is building as the Fort Wayne TinCaps gear up for their 15th anniversary season, kicking off with a series of engaging events leading up to Opening Day at Parkview Field.

On Wednesday, April 3, from 5 p.m. until approximately 8 p.m., fans are invited to join the team for a “Meet the Team Night” at Parkview Field. This free event offers enthusiasts a unique opportunity to watch the players in action as they work out on the field. The highlight of the evening comes at 6:30 p.m. when players and coaches will be available to sign autographs. Notably, the TinCaps are the Minor League Baseball’s High-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, although this year’s Opening Day roster is yet to be announced by the Padres. The team is expected to make their way from spring training in Arizona to Fort Wayne on Saturday, March 30, in anticipation of the upcoming season.

During “Meet the Team Night”, The Orchard Team Store and Parkview Field’s Ticket Office will remain open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering fans an opportunity to grab their favorite TinCaps merchandise and secure tickets for the season. Concession stands will also be in operation, ensuring that attendees stay refreshed throughout the evening.

Following this event, Parkview Field will host an “Open House” on Saturday, April 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event offers fans a chance to explore the inner workings of the ballpark with behind-the-scenes tours. Exclusive areas such as the Suite Level, the team’s dugout, the 400 Club, and The Summit presented by US Foods will be open for exploration. In addition to the tours, fans can enjoy half-priced concessions, adding to the festive atmosphere. Weather permitting, the FUN Zone presented by Sweetwater will also be open for kids to enjoy.

Brenda Feasby, TinCaps Community and Fan Engagement Manager, expressed her excitement for these events, stating, “These are a couple of terrific events to get everyone ready for Opening Day. You can’t beat free during spring break.”

As anticipation builds, tickets for all 66 TinCaps home games are available starting at just $7. Fans can purchase tickets online at TinCaps.com, by calling 260-482-6400, or directly from the Parkview Field Ticket Office. The team’s promotional schedule promises more than 30 postgame fireworks nights, celebrity appearances, theme nights, bobbleheads, and much more.

The TinCaps will commence their 15th anniversary season on the road on April 5 against the Great Lakes Loons, the affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. However, the real excitement hits home turf on Opening Day at Parkview Field on Tuesday, April 9, at 6:35 p.m., when the TinCaps take on the Lake County Captains, the Cleveland Guardians-affiliated team. Fans are encouraged to come out and support their favorite local team as they embark on another thrilling season of baseball.
